We look forward to welcoming you to Display Week 2022, our 59th International Symposium, Seminar, and Exhibition, taking place May 8 to May 13 at San Jose Convention Center in San Jose, CA. The Society for Information Display turns 60 this year, and we have a number of special events lined up to celebrate this major milestone.
As SID looks forward to hosting an in-person event again this year, we are also concerned about the well-being of all our attendees. We will be observing the latest COVID safety protocols as indicated by Santa Clara County, California, where Display Week is being held. While proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test is no longer required to attend Display Week, we do request, as per the City’s recommendation, that all in-person attendees wear masks for indoor conference activities unless actively eating, drinking, or speaking on stage.
Our event kicks off with five Sunday Short Courses and a special display metrology course on May 8, followed by 15 seminars covering a broad range of display topics on Monday, May 9. On Tuesday, May 10, Display Week kicks into overdrive with keynote presentations from global technology leaders, our four-day technical symposium, and of course our famous exhibition, featuring a huge variety of display technology and service providers all under one roof.
Our 2022 symposium features 74 technical sessions made up of 285 papers and 142 posters, all divided into diverse areas of display technology including Active-Matrix Devices, OLEDs, Liquid-Crystal Technology, and many more. Each year, SID's technical program committee designates special topics based on the latest areas of interest. In 2022, we’re offering four special topic tracks based on Conformable Wearable Displays; Hyper-Realistic Displays (AR/VR/MR); Machine Learning for Displays; and Outdoor Displays.
Beyond the technical program, there are of course many other events to enjoy at Display Week. We hope you will take in some intriguing new demos on the exhibit floor, and catch a few of our exhibitors’ forum presentations, located this year in the center of the exhibit hall. You should also check out our much-anticipated keynote sessions, as well as the Women in Technology panel, the CEO Forum, and the Business Conference. Last but not least, don’t forget to attend our special 60th anniversary sessions and celebration on Wednesday, May 11. You won’t want to miss any of it!
